BUILDING BLOCKS for a WELL-THY LIFE 💚🌿
I don't know where you are at in your life - I only know where I am at.
But I do know we all PERFORM on a daily basis.
We all interact everyday - ENERGY IS REQUIRED.
I know what it feels like to have LOTS OF ENERGY & to have NONE. And I know what I prefer!!
I don't mind feeling spent at the end of the day, but certainly not at the beginning 🥴
Over the years I have come to understand so many things about MAINTENANCE - especially now that I am in my 50's.
I am not about to tell you how to live your life - we are all figuring that out - let's just say each of us could do with some ' fine-tuning'.
I have shared openly about my struggles with DEPRESSION over many many years as well as my challenges with weight, IBS, self esteem etc etc.
It really has been a life long process.
Without a doubt the most surprising & GREATEST GIFT has been learning how to FERMENT & naturally, eating what I make.😋🍷
I could give credence to many things which were saving graces at many intersections of my life but the BIGGEST CONNECTOR & SAVIOUR to my state of mind, my wellness and my authentic relationship with me, has been CULTURED FOODS.
I have realized over the years that this is not at all a freak accident nor a blessed bestowal, nor a isolated incident - I have realized that for many millions of people who have struggled on an emotional, physical level have also experienced a REBUILDING OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL FABRIC allowing them to arrive & thrive in their life because of CULTURED FOODS.
Fermented foods found me - I didn't go looking.
It wasn't love at first 'bite' - I did a bit of stopping & starting.
But one day - I will never forget it - they had become an essential & CENTRAL PART OF MY DAILY LIFE - I could no longer live without them in my diet!!!
By that stage, things had changed;
I was MORE MYSELF, MORE STABLE, LESS ANXIOUS, NEVER GOT SICK (currently not for 15 years), MORE FUN, MORE CONFIDENT, NO MORE IBS (miracle - best poo ever) etc etc.
So, I say to people who ask me (many things ;-) ) but mostly BRING CULTURED FOODS INTO YOUR LIFE - DAILY.
Yes, daily. :-)
Nothing changes if you have them once a month.
And you may not notice anything particular for 6 months, but I guarantee you WILL NOTICE A CHANGE.
CULTURED FOODS ARE A REGULATOR, MODULATOR, PROTECTOR, PRECURSOR, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, PREDIGESTED NOURISMENT, PROBIOTIC, DETOXOR etc etc.
MAKING THEM YOURSELF is a joy & an awesome experiment, connecting us to our ancestors & an ancient food preservation technique which is TOTALLY CURRENT & totally practical in our crazy busy lives!!!
